Dark strolled through the city, trying to ignore the leftover taste of blood in his mouth. The night was still young and Dark couldn't help but to ponder over his last conversation. Pollynda has asked him what he had wanted and he had answered in truth. Revenge was what drove him, motivated him. It was as much a part of him as everything else, and that wasn't going to change. The hatred and rage within himself was something he did not take pride in either, but he knew that it was there. It lurked inside of him, always waiting for the moment to strike. Dark knew why he hated vampires. It was no secret to him, though it was hidden so deep that it might as well be. They had taken everything from him. It had ruined his family's life; his life, and turned him into what he was. He hated them for that fact. They had also murdered his mother for their own sake and had made him kill so many times in the past when it was only for their pleasure. He regretted it and knew that it had been wrong. Nothing could have been done he knew now. It was part of him and as much as he hated what he had been born into, life was life and all he could do was to live it. He did not know why he helped vampires at all. He knew he hated them, yet it was as if every thought was conflicted with another. Pollynda was different for some reason though. He felt as if she could help him somehow, teach him how to be free from the pain. He did not know if there was anything that she could actually do though, and that was what held him back. Dark's mind then wandered to Justin. It had been the only job he had ever failed. He didn't even know why he had decided to spare the life of the creature, but for some reason he had. Dark did not even mind him, though he hadn't exactly met him before on good terms. It wasn't as if he had never killed a creature like Justin before, for he had killed thousands of them in the past. Something inside him was suddenly stopping him though and Dark was determined to find out what it was. The night was eerily silent and Dark decided to take a chance. He was going to go to Justin's. There was a reason Justin had been spared and he wanted to know. There was a good chance of something going wrong, but Dark was ready. He was always ready.

Walking again felt so good. He tried it at different speeds; picking up the pace, then going slowly again. He'd been asleep for a year, and wasn't as lethargic as one supposed he would be. Micheal was, however, exceedingly thirsty. He cast aside the walking as he came to a club. Fray. He surveyed his surroundings as he entered. He'd never been to this town and was unfamiliar to the citizens; human or other. He was the other. Micheal was not human. He caught sight of a twenty-something blonde, and moved in to lure her away. Yes,she was fairly pretty. As he opened his mouth to speak, he caught a look from a woman sitting at the bar who he sensed to be the management; a fellow vampire. Micheal gave up his hunt and took a seat beside her. "Hi." he said. "I'm Micheal. Who are you?"

Pollynda played with the pen in her hand as Micheal took a seat and introduced himself. Across the bar in front of her was paperwork that had to be done. She had already spent the early part of the evening in the back office, and she needed a more chaotic atmosphere to work in—hence, working at the bar.
Never before had Pollynda seen this vampire in her club—or around the city. She was silent as she took in his appearance. A sly smile tilted her lips and she allowed her fangs to be exposed.
“I… am someone in desperate need of a distraction.” Pollynda gathered her paperwork and handed it to the bartender—a young man wearing very revealing clothing, nothing left to the imagination—who stored it under the bar top. “Come on Micheal, let’s dance.”

Micheal grinned, purposely letting her see his gleaming fangs as she had hers.He couldn't often reveal these teeth without doing so on purpose, however unless he was really laughing hard. Concealing them from the dear little mortals (as not to frighten them) had become second nature to him.
As he let her lead him by the hand onto the floor, Micheal couldn't help but feel a strong liking toward this woman. She didn't seem to have eyes full of pain, like so many others he knew. In fact he was surprised she didn't, for most after made were just bloodthirsty and power-hungry; and those who once were level headed business people he could very easily enslave by simply offering his power, his blood. If they weren't this, than they were mostly the ones trapped inside their own memories, unable to escape what they'd suffered in life. The only way out for these poor chums was to die. But they must learn that moving on was the key, for everyone of them had a wretched past of some sort......
She - as resting her small arms on his shoulders, with the greatest of ease and confidence- seemed (although some form of dead) to have a lustrous natural vitality. She seemed to be very much enjoying this life as he was. Just so refreshing for him to see one who seemed happy to be dead. He wondered though: was she really content with herself, and the club owner role she played in the mortal world?
"So I'm your distraction from the fatiguing toil of the workday?" he asked mocking a sad pout, then chuckling to himself.

Pollynda smiled as she and Micheal danced in time to the Cruxshadows song “Even Angels Fall”. It was humorous—the sight of an elegant man like him dancing with a would-be-teenage-dominatrix like her.
“Most definitely… So, what brings you into Fray this evening? You’re not exactly one of the regular patrons.”

Dark stood in the shadows behind the building of the club Fray. He knew that he had been banned from the club, but he didn't care. He pulled the shadows around him; seeming to make himself invisible within its darkness. The back of the building was silent, other than the music that vibrated the walls around him from inside the club. He could hear the music that he had placed to be from a band he frequently listened to, and smiled. The club always played his kind of music. Shrouding himself further within the shadows, Dark decided to enter. No one was around and slipping into the building would prove to be all too easy. He just wondered what would happened once he got inside.

Micheal shook his head slowly, sadly almost and laughed. "Whatever you think I was implying - never mind that. What I simply meant was that everywhere else I go someone gets upset at the newcomer, the vagabond, the unknown. The ones who found the place first can be surprisingly territorial, and often rather vicious." He lifted his left hand from her waist and held it before her face. A pink scar in the shape of a semicircle was on the back of his hand. He lowered it again to her waist. "No one here has yet to tell me to get off their territory." He glanced across the room to a tacit and very inconspicuous man; but he did not falter in his words to the woman he still danced with. "A more tourist-friendly kind of place. So in that sense, the people here seem friendly enough indeed." He looked back down again to her eyes. "Don't you think?"

"I think you have yet to meet many of the vampires in this city. Some of us are not so... tolerant of people in our territory--"
The walkie-talkie in Pollynda's pocket rang. She stopped dancing and fished it out of the knee length pocket of the bondage pants she was wearing. She spoke into the walkie-talkie, "Go ahead."
Tony was on the other end and his voice came out mixed with static. "We have--", severe static drowned out his voice, "--ation at the front of the club--ou should check--". The rest was cut off by static.
Pollynda looked up at Micheal and without a word confidently turned around and walked through the throng of people mashed together on the dance floor—leaving Micheal behind.
When she met up with Tony at the front entrance to the club Pollynda could see (and smell) the problem quiet clearly. The bloody body on the sidewalk outside the club was getting a lot of attention from the line-up to enter the club.

As the woman turned and walked away, a strong breeze blew in through the front entrance. Blood. Fresh blood. The music stopped and some of the Fray patrons were starting to panic; some screaming, some crying, some just in shock, and others rushing to the restrooms to empty their stomach contents at what they had seen. Suddenly Micheal was clutched around the torso by a very distressed (and drunk) college student. She couldn't seem to handle what was happening. He gently pulled her groping hands off him and turned her toward a guy who was asking her if she was all right. He welcomed her crying on his shoulder, and any other time but this probably would've been grateful of Micheal.
He wasn't sure what to do; so he decided to just go to the front of the club, and see what had happened. As he walked toward the entrance, he glanced over at the far wall, to see whether the man inconspicuously standing was still there.

Dark briskly walked through the shadows of the city. He had left the club, but did not remember doing so. All he remembered was the scene that he had seen afterwards. The body; the blood. Blood coated his hands and stained his usually pale skin. He refrained from looking at it. He could smell the blood, but did not want to. He tried not to think about what had happened between the time he had walking into the club and the time in which he saw the body lying there. Dark walked and tried not to think about what had come over him and what he had done. He had only done something like that twice; both of which he did not want to remember and caught himself before he growled out loud. The memories of such things were kept within the depths of him and he would not allow himself to think of them. They were of the past and would stay there. Walking within the depths of the shadows, Dark became one with them and tried not to think about the gruesome scene he had left behind.

The man was gone. Micheal figured he probably became upset by the body and fled the scene like so many other patrons had. Just something about him though... He passed through the front entrance in silence, nodding to the woman who owned the club as he left. She seemed to be at a bit of a loss of what to do about the current situation; the scent of blood must've been driving her mad as it did him. He turned his back and quickly walked away in the opposite direction then he'd come.
He went back to his hotel room, poured himself a glass of red wine, and decided that tomorrow night he would return to Fray to see what had happened tonight.

He was walking down to cold street listening to what ever drunken brawl had spread into the street. Each one different from the last. This might be a new city but it was the same as the last. Homeless stuck in the alleys nowhere to go. Prostitutes on each corner begging for release. Drunks avoiding their ever dwindling family life not wanting to go home and have there asses kicked by their wives when they saw the red lipstick on their white collars. The sounds were the same, the only new things were the wolves. This was going to be fun. He had heard of a wolf hybrid. He was dying to meet him and have- a little chat. Lucca was at one end of a street when he say a man go inside and little bar with a sign reading Fray. It looked odd the way he blended with the shadows. This perked Lucca spidey senses. " Somethings going down" He mumbled to him self.
" Thats the vampires bar. I would stay away from there mister. If value your life." An old man in tattered clothing came stumbling out of the alley way on Lucca's right. He didn't see him there, he was to distracted by the man in the shadows.
He laughed." Oh I see. this is what I should fear? Does the grim reaper reside with in those walls?
" Yes she does?"The old man looked at the sign and clutched his chest. " It is a place were the devil makes his bets and steels the souls of the weak. But he will come and save us." He raised his arms." He will be our Saviour." He raised his head and prayed to the night sky.
The angered Lucca. Swiftly he rushed the man and took him in his arms carrying him to the back of the alley. His lips pressed to old mans ear. " Is this what you want? To be saved? To be set free from this living hell? This shit hole you call life? Do you want me to free you?"
The old mans eyes widened but he said nothing he froze like a deer caught in head lights. " Old man I am your death. i am your Saviour. I am the grim reaper. I bring you your peace." The last he spoke in Italian. The drove his fangs into his neck and feed until the old man fell limp and full of death while Lucca filled with life.
He dropped the body, wiped his lips and pulled a silver coin from his pocket and placed it on top of the mans tongue. " May this bring you passage over the river Styx." Once again he spoke softly his native tongue. Now that he was full he mad e his way to the main street just in time to see the shadow man leave and mortals come screaming out in terror. He knew something was up. He rushed to the doors getting there in no time at all. But he wasn't ready for the carnage that was waiting inside...

Pollynda just looked at the dead body for a few moments in astonishment. The overpowering smell of blood was playing havoc with all her senses. Tony was silent on the other side of the body. All around them were screaming people. Pollynda couldn’t comprehend why everyone was so frighten. Granted, the body was gruesome—but it wasn’t that horrible. Maybe there were more drugs being used in the club than Pollynda thought.
Shaking herself out of her reprieve, Pollynda looked over to see Tony starring at her. In a strained voice she spoke. “Who did this?”
Tony was paler than his normal pasty skin tone. He looked close to fainting. If they weren’t in such a dire situation, Pollynda would have had a good laugh at the large man’s squeamishness.
“I didn’t get a good look at who it was. It was like a shadow just came out of thin air and attacked the poor dope. He didn’t have a chance.” Tony was thoughtful for a moment as he looked down at the body. When he looked back to Pollynda his face was stoic. “Do you think it was a vampire…or something else?”
Pollynda shot Tony a disapproving glare. It had been a few years since a dead body had been noticed in or around Fray but that was still no reason for Tony to speak freely about the preternatural creatures that roamed the night.
“I think that we need to get this guy out of the entranceway.” Tony and one of the other security personnel took to disposing of the body. There was no point in being discrete about it—many mortals had seen the body, and few had stuck around. The people who remained at the club were mainly vampires with the odd drug sodden mortal flailing about on the dance floor. The line-up to enter the club was gone.
Pollynda cursed at that as she surveyed the area outside the front of the club. It was still relatively early in the evening and now it seemed that business was going to be light. She had noticed Micheal had absconded with all the other fleeing people. Now the night would truly be boring—unless this new vampire watching the clean-up proved otherwise.

It wasn't,t exactly what he was expecting to start his night but he was very interested. He watched the frightened little people run to and fro like aunts fleeing the giant magnifying glass.
Lucca found it interesting. The body was torn to shreds. He wanted to know who this shadow was. Maybe he would find out after he talked to the vampire staring at him from across the way.
She looked beautiful like one of Leonardo Devinci's painting. Breath taking from th outside and suffocating from the inside. She held power, great power. She must be the one in charge. She was telling the security what to do. He walked over to her.
" This wont look to pretty in the papers. There is a body in the alley over there." He pointed to the alley he had emerged from. " My name in Lucca, as you can tell I am new here. Would you mind showing me the ropes? Perhaps over a little midnight snack?" He couldn't help himself when it came to beautiful women. He was just waiting for the day to find the one that would end his ever present search.
He opened himself up and gestured to go inside the door. " Nothing like a little chaos to start things right." He laughed and let his fangs hang low. His eyes grew with a fire no woman seemed to be able to resist. That was just his talent. He was lover and a fighter on the side. He had once been compared to Casanova to his disgust.

“Well Lucca, nothing looks good in the papers,” Pollynda said with the air of someone with past experience.
Pollynda wondered at the arrival of yet another new vampire to the city. What was it about this city that attracted the undead? Pretty soon, this place would become the next New Orleans!
“It’s a little early for a snack. Why don’t we start with a heavy drink?” Pollynda looked about, making sure that everything was being taken care of. She smiled to Lucca and went back into the club, assuming the new vampire would follow. Maybe things would get a whole lot more interesting before dawn.

Dark had walked around most of the city, but night was still abroad. While looking within his clenched fist, Dark had found some sort of pendant, but he had no idea how it had got there. It had three small gems and Dark couldn't help but to be reminded of his sword that had similar stone inside of there hilts. He did not know if he had killed the poor mortal out of hunger, or something else. He had not eaten, if that's what it could be called, properly for awhile and would like to have thought that as the reason, but as he looked at the pendant, he had doubts. Dark had come in full circle. He stood within the shadows near Fray and again debated whether to go in. The people milling around the place seemed to have calmed to a steady flow of the regulars going in and out of the club. Things seemed as if they were back to normal. Drawing the shadows around himself as if a blanket of darkness, Dark made his way around to the back of the club. The door had been left the same as it had been the last time Dark had been here earlier and opened with ease. The music throbbed within the place and Dark decided to enter. He reminded himself that no one had seen him and that no one would notice anything until he was inside the club. The shadows grew thicker around him as he stepped within the club and made his way across it.

Justin padded through the alleyways and forgotten streets of the city, cloaking himself in the darkest hollows and corners, his dark thick fur seeming to absorb any incoming light. He breathed shallowly, sifting out the decay and disease of the city. He trotted contently through the different parts of town until he reached the darker quarter where Fray resided. It seemed quieter in the streets around the club tonight. When he glanced around the corner of the building there was no line up to get in, and Tony was leaning against the doorway looking paler than his normal ghostly self. Justin's nose twitched and a shudder ran through his frame as the metallic scent of blood hit him like a brick wall. His tongue lolled out of his mouth and he began to pant as he fought the urge to go feed... Tony looked as though he had had enough tonight without becoming a snack; besides he liked Tony. At the sound of a dog breathing Tony had glanced up and focused his eyes, seeing the large shape watching him from the corner of the club. It seemed rather large to him to be a dog... it's head easily came to his waist... His eyes narrowed and he took a step back, his hand slipping into his pocket, presumably to grab some sort of weapon, or maybe even his walkie-talkie Justin usually saw attached to his hand. Justin merely say down on the pavement, his tail spread to the side, and cocked his head to the right, his ears forward, his tongue lolling. A Golden Retriever had nothin on him. Eventually when he didn't move for a few minutes Tony relaxed, although he kept a wary eye on the beast. Justin stood and Tony came to attention like a soldier before his commanding officer. The wolf sighed softly and began to pad toward the door and Tony. Tony stood stock still, but didn't budge. Justin slowly padded up to him, and when it appeared Tony wasn't going to budge, nudged him with his nose. He gave a doggy grin as Tony leapt out of his way, raised his tail high like the grand specimen he was, and entered the club.

Dark felt the air change immediately. Looking in the direction of where the strange yet familiar scent came from. Looking near the front of the club, Dark spotted a wolf form and knew that it was Justin. Everyone stared at Justin before continuing what they were doing. The mortals of the club seemed unsure and Dark sensed their confusion. He heard the thoughts of those around him as if they were being spoken, but he concentrated on Justin. When he was sure that Justin had only come for the enjoyment of the club and not for him, Dark again leaned against the wall and sunk further into the shadows. Dark wondered if Justin had thought about what they had last talked about, but was not worried about it. He wasn't even suppose to be in the club he had to remind himself. At this he inwardly smiled and continued to take in the club.

Pollynda grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a whiskey on the rocks. She was disappointed to see that the mortal bartender she hired wasn’t in tonight. The boy had come to the club desperately looking for a job. Pollynda thought it would be amusing to see how long it took for the boy to get scared shitless and quit. Something like what had happened outside would surely have been enough to scare the kid. She had even made a bet with Tony that the boy would quit within 3 months. Only a week remained and Pollynda wasn’t looking forward to paying out $500 to listening to Tony brag for a week.
Turning to face Lucca—who had taken a seat beside her—she extended her arm and made a sweeping gesture of the whole club. “This is my club. It’s only been open for about 6 years now, but we have a reputation.”
Thinking back on the days before Fray her mood darken. She remembered all the secret deeds she had done to get the money to open the club. She had made many unworthy people into vampires just to realize her dream.
The thought of those vile vampires made Pollynda’s insides twist. Maybe she could hire Dark to hunt them down and kill them since he had such a knack for killing things. That brought a smile back to Pollynda and she hoped Dark returned to the club so she could discuss it with him.

Justin sat in the doorway of the club and watched. He had scented Dark as soon as his front paws had hit the floor of the club. He kept his hackles flat, looking calm and composed, his ears remaining forward and up. Just your regular Man's Best Friend here folks; no danger at all. He would be good, he would not start any fights... he may finish them, but that wasn't his fault. For the most part, he would be innocent bystander as long as possible. He did not want to start tonight with blood clots in his coat. Pollynda had a new vamp trailing her, his eyes looking around with barely veiled curiosity. He had the look of an older, strong vamp, but one who had a young, hopeful outlook on his "life". He stood and took a few steps into the room. Maybe the bar tender had a bowl of blood for him...

Pollynda took a long swig of her drink. It took away some of the tension that she didn’t know had built up since she was first notified of the incident at the front of the club. Lost in her peaceful retreat she barely heard her walkie-talkie ringing again.
With an aggravated sigh she reached into her pocket and pulled the device forth. “This had better be important.”
Once again Tony was on the other end. This time with news a little less troublesome. “Pollynda, you’ll never guess who just strolled in.” Pollynda looked to the entrance of the club and didn’t see any thing out of the ordinary.
In a snappish voice she replied, “Who?”
“Look near the floor. The guy is hairy, there’s no way you could miss him.” And Pollynda spotted him immediately. He was making his way to the bar. The people of the club gave him a wide wake.
Pollynda set glass on the bar with unnecessary force. She stood and strode purposefully and intercepted Justin before he made it to the bar. She looked down at the wolf with anger in her eyes.
“You can not be in here in that form.”

Justin couldn't help it.. he lowered his front to the floor, splayed his front legs, wagged his tail and gave a playful bark. He laughed at her with his eyes as he straightened and carefully walked around her toward the DJ table. He grabbed them between his teeth, pulled them out and carried them to the Pollynda's office. He nudged the door open, stepped inside, and shut it behind him.

Pollynda sighed and watched Justin get his clothes. She continued to watch him walk to her back office. The people of the club stepping aside for him as he went. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed something that odd hiding in the back of the club.
Dark!
Making her way slowly to where Dark stood, Pollynda hoped that Justin would be out of her office by the time she reached Dark. She was really interested in discussing hiring him to go after the monsters she had created.

Dark stood there and waited still to see if anyone would notice him. He had kept a weary eye on Justin just in case and had watched him as he had put on a show for Pollynda, who had looked as if she had not enjoyed it. Dark smiled inside at this. He was reminded of someone he had known at one time as he saw Justin trot by with his clothes in his mouth, but shook the thoughts out of his mind. He then saw Pollynda walking towards him. Her face was hard to read and too many emotions filled this place to be able to tell what she was feeling. He just hoped that she wasn't coming over to kick him out of the club, but he had not seen her with her walkie talkie out after she had seen Justin, and Tony wasn't in sight as far as Dark could tell. She continued to come closer across the club. "Good evening Pollynda," Dark said as she stood only a few feet from him. He stared at her and waited for her to say something. He noticed Justin come out of the office nearby, now fully clothed and in human form, but kept his attention on Pollynda.

Justin picked at the dried blood on his t-shirt as he shut pollynda's door behind him. It was never gonna come clean again. He looked up and saw Pollynda with Dark across the room. He glanced over at the bar and saw Pollynda had abandoned her new friend. he walked over, pulled up a bar stool and ordered a water.
