Arsen moaned under her, wrapping his arms around Jaenelle's waist.
The First relaxed into the bed, at peace as the sun harmlessly shown in.
~~~~
Once Shadow got Melody to stay still, he walked out, shutting the light off.
"Goodnight," he called, shutting the door and taking Eryn's hand.
Jae pulled her teeth out of Arsen's neck for a moment, blood dripping off her fangs as she looked curiously at the sun spilling across the floor of their bedroom. Her eyes closed in enjoyment as the early sun touched her skin, briefly warming her. Later on, they wouldn't be able to go out in the harsh sunlight, but at dawn and twilight, it was safe for them to stand in it. The vampiress looked down at Arsen and smiled; her mate looked relaxed and comfortable and she wished that they'd never have to leave this life.
~~
Eryn squeezed Shadow's hand tightly before yawning softly, leaning her head against the werewolf's shoulder. The smell of Arsen's blood leaked through the air and she sneezed a little at the scent.
"Bedtime?"
Arsen smiled at his mate, closing his eyes. Despite all the napping he did, he was tired.
"... We'll deal with them in the morning," he muttered, already falling asleep.
~~~~
"Bedtime," Shadow affirmed, lifting Eryn into hisams, carryig the young shifter to her room. ONce more the werewolf kicked her door closed and laid Eryn down.
"Sleep, little one."

Jaenelle nodded slowly, giggling at Arsen's tendency to always be sleepy before she finished cleaning up the blood flowing from her bite and then settled down on the bed next to him, curling up comfortably against his side.
"I want it to be like this everyday," she murmured, air barely brushing past her lips as she began to fall asleep as well, flicking an annoyed thought at the curtains to shut them as the light caught her eyes uncomfortably; then she rethought a little, "without the soap."
~~
Eryn grabbed Shadow's hand and tugged him towards the bed as well.
"Stay with me?" she asked in a small voice, not wanting to be rejected.

Arsen chuckled, "As do I. Its so nice..."
He wrapped his arms around Jaenelle, sighing.

Shadow smiled and nodded, "I'll stay with you."
The werewolf crawled onto her bed once again, nuzzling Eryn as he curled up with her.

Jaenelle turned around in Arsen's embrace, burying her face in his chest and allowing herself to fall asleep, fingers knotted in his shirt.
~~~
Eryn curled up into Shadow, wanting his warmth and the comfort that came with his presence. Her breath slowly evened out and her eyes drooped closed as she finally slipped into the arms of the Dream God.
~~~
The figure outside the house grabbed the tops of the fence excitedly as it felt the people in teh hosue begin to fall asleep. It was almost time...just a little longer and, then, Shadow and Arsen would know what it felt like to lose.

Arsen startedto fall alseep,then felt something on the edge of his conciousness when he startedto drift off. He graoened and opened his syes, starting at the wall over the top of Jaenelle's head.
He hated doing this to her, but he slid from his shirt and got up without waking her. He brushed her hair from her forhead and gently kissed her/
"I'll be back," he whispered, walking out their bedroom door.
~~~~
Shadow didn't fall asleep right away, laying quietly.When he heard Arsen get up, he sat up. He held the shifter girl's hand tightly when AQrsen walked by. He heard the vampire pull out his old trenchcoat and slide it on.With a groan, Shadow got up as well.
As he walked out the door, he cracked it open. He was going to tell Eryn that she couldn't ome if she wke.
With silent footsteps, he headed downstairs as his groggy friend pulled on his boots.
Eryn's eyes cracked open and she whined as she felt Shadow leave the bed, reaching out to the werewolf to pull him back onto the bed.
"Where're you going?" she asked, speech slightly slurred with sleep.
~~
The figure stood at the gate of the small house, sensing Shadow and Arsen coming for it. Slowly, it flitted back several yards until it stood near the treeline of the forest, looking curiously up to the bedroom which it was relatively sure the First Vampire shared with his unholy mate. What would it feel like to make Jaenelle scream? The gaze roamed to the window next to it- the kids' room. And make her fall into pieces that not even her lover could put back together.
"Something work up Arsen," Shadow said, "If you aren't asleep yet, you should check on the kids."
he kissed her gently before getting up again, going back to the doorway.
~~~~
Arsen pulled open the front door, hissing at the light reflecting up in his face. After blinking a few times, his eyes readjusted and he stood there quietylu, watching. He knew there was something...
"I can smell you. Get out here. What do you want?" The First called, throwing his power out around him to show that he was stronger, "Get away from here. I have no quarrel with you."

Eryn nodded sleepily, stumbling to the doorway, past Shadow and into the kid's room, checking to make sure that they were still asleep and everything was okay with them. Callie stirred uneasily and sat up to look at the shifter, eyes glowing red in the darkness, but moderating out to their normal hazel.
"Aunt Eryn?" she asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, darling. Absolutely nothing," the shifter murmured, closing the door behind her and going to sit on the edge of the little girl's bed and smoothing her hair down. "Go back to sleep."
Callie nodded, lying back down and curling up on her side as Eryn continued running her hand through the girl's hair until her breathing evened out.
~~
The cloaked figure moved at the edge of the forest, letting Arsen know where It was.
"I'm not hiding," a lovely, lilting voice called out. "And, while you may think that there's no quarrel, you are wrong. A word of advice, I would advise you to go look at the Village before it's too late for them."
Then, the figure disappeared as, on the horizon, black plumes of smoke began to curl lazily away from where the Village should be.

Arsen snarled at the stranger, unsure. When the figure was gone, he cursed under his breath, vaulting off the deck.
Not again...

Shadow 'looked' back up to where Eryn was,proud in knowing she could defend the children i she had too, before loping out after Arsen.
"This isn't good," he said, not shifting as he ran along side his friend.

"GODDAMNIT!" Someone screamed and the hood turned towards the sound, looking out on the Village that was now being destroyed by raging flames. Screams flew through the air and the shrouded stranger stood in the middle of the square, laughing as black flames flew from his hands. The hood slipped back and bloodred eyes glared out at the world under a mop of dark, messy hair. Features reminiscent of Daemonar's were etched into the face and dark skin; the edge of a tattoo peaked from where the cloak stopped shielding his neck.
As the male stood in the middle of the chaos, fire streaming down his hands, someone tried to attack the young vampire to make the fire stop and he slashed through them with one arcing motion, the fire eating them up. Their screams were like music for him and his laughter rang out in a horrific countermelody.
~~
Eryn felt Shadow and Arsen leave, knowing that something was wrong and she needed to stay with the children.
Jae! she called out with her mind, but the vampiress didn't even stir.

Arsen stumbled out of thewoods, sheilding his face. For the first time in a long time, horror struck him and he stood frozen. The werewolf however, wasted no time and shifted, leaping at the male and sinking his fangs into the boy's neck, snarling.
"No..." Arsen breathed, shocked. When he and Shadow had checked, there had been no remnants of Daemonar in the child. Unless his mother had changed that, the boy shouldn't've even been there.
"No..." the vampire breathed again, the shadows kicking up at his feet as th first time in a long time he started to loose control.

The boy turned on Shadow, snarling and slammed his fiery hand into the werewolf's side, managing to punch into the flash with his claws and grab a hold on one of the wolf's lungs, ripping a hole in it before disengaging himself from Shadow's teeth.
"Slow, old man! Your age finally getting to you?" the boy taunted, backing away from the two older males. He just had to hold them here a couple of minutes.
~~
Eryn started to go towards the door of the room, but she didn't make it all the way before she sensed a presence in the room and turned, snarling. Her snarl instantly faded when she saw who the hooded figure cradled in their arms with wickedly sharp claws hovering over her throat.
"Melody," the panther choked out.

Shadow backed off, panting, blood lolling from his toungeas he limped back. Suddenly, a dark blur shot passed him and Arsen had punched a hole through th male, snrling.
Arsen's arm was coated in the shadows, his eyes pure pitch black as he snarled.
"The son of a coward," he spit before biting down on the boy's neck and ripping out a good size of flesh as he ripped the boy's heart out.
Shadow watched, but soon sensed the danger trhough Eryn. He turned and quickly ran off.

The boy collapsed for a moment before his heart grew back, super fast, even for a noble.
"Who are you calling coward? Daemonar? Of course, he was a coward," the boy-who-looked-like-Daemonar snarled out, backing away from Arsen before rushing forward and ripping the First's heart out of his chest before sinking his fangs into the same place Jaenelle had and violating Arsen by sucking his blood. "But my father...no, he's no coward."
Then, the boy grinned a familiar quicksilver grin before wrapping his cloak around him and simply....disappearing.
~~
"W-what are you doing?" Eryn asked, feeling very...off for some reason.
"Nothing that can't be remedied....if you're very good," the hooded figure said quietly, watching as the shifter's eyes began to droop and her breath began to even out.
"Why....am I so," the cat yawned big, showing her elongated incisors, "very..."
"Tired?" the figure asked. "All part of the plan, darling. Now, why don't you go to sleep and, when you wake up, you won't remember any of this."
Eryn snarled darkly, trying to stand and collapsing to her knees, but continuing to come towards the cloaked figure. Before she got there, a tide of sleepiness overtook her and she fell to the floor in front of the stranger who grinned darkly. Jaenelle floated through the door, also deeply asleep, and the figure grinned. One big happy family, just like they'd wished.

Arsen grunted and stumbled before simply falling over. The villagers hurried around him, rushing to put out the fires.
He woke a few moments later and was running for the house, before stopping to watch the fire.

Shadow barreled through the front door silently and up the stairs. He shifted, skidding to a stop without tripping over Jaenelle.
The werewolf snarled at the stranger, "Who are you? What do you want?"

The stranger turned to look at Shadow and grinned.
"Hello Shadow, darling," the lilting voice said lightly. "I see you've taken a liking to your student, but don't worry, when she's my student, I promise I won't touch her, I really don't swing that way."
The hooded figure kicked the girl in the side and then in the head swiftly, making the knocked out shifter groan as blood slipped past her lips and pooled under her mouth.
"Now, if you don't mind, I really need to take my new family somewhere else," the hooded figure murmured, cradling Melody in one arm and throwing down a smoke bomb in the other. When the smoke had cleared, the room was empty except for Shadow. They were...gone.

Shadow stepped back,snarling.
"No... Shit..." the werewolf hissed, checking the beds to double check. Nothing. UNless Lucivar had snuck from his bed like he usually did, that boy was gone too.
The werewolf sunk to his knees and doubled over, wrapping his arms around himself.

The cloaked figure met up with the boy who had set fire to the village in the forest, far away from where she had taken their captives from. The boy looked slightly tired, but not that much worse for wear from his encounter with the First.
"You did well," the lilting voice praised from under the hood as a slim hand reached out to touch the male's face. He fondly leaned into the touch, smirking a little.
"It's all coming together, isn't it?"
"Yes, my son, it is," the hood fell away to reveal blonde hair and sharp features- Kyrii- Daemonar's former mate, but...something was slightly different. "Now, let's get them home so we can start the process of taking everything away from the two who killed Daemonar."
((I had a crazy idea, what if I make the boy somehow like....have Arsen's powers kindof or be like kinda his son somehow? Too creepy or what?))

The boy nodded slowly, finally forcing himself to look at the other people who were with his mother.
"My brothers....and sisters?" the boy asked slowly, looking over the younger children with barely disguised interest which turned to disgust when he saw Jaenelle. "What's she doing here?"
Kyrii looked at the ex-human with undisguised hatred. "She'll make a suitable bloodwhore for the children. After all, they won't remember her as their mother and I'm not going to feed all of them. We're really only after the children...and Shadow's prodigy. We only need her because she's important to your father, Rissien."
Kyrii looked at her son carefully, seeing if he understood. She had named this boy, born of Daemonar's seed and Arsen's blood (which had been collected for blood packs which she had spirited away with her) and magic (courtesy of the magic that he and Shadow had wrought upon Kyrii when they had checked to see if this boy would be a threat to them), for the ravines which had hidden them when they fled from Crimson Moon. She had brought him up teaching him that both Arsen and Daemonar were his fathers, but that, where Daemonar had been a coward, Arsen was strong. Kyrii had also told Rissien that the First would hate his blood-child which looked like the long-ago King. The woman who had once been Daemonar's mate looked at her son fondly and then thought of the other boy- the good and sensible child whom was waiting for her at home because he would've screwed this whole mission up. While she had taught everything she had taught his brother, the other boy had not learned, not wanted to understand. Instead, he kept believing that Arsen would love him as a father in Daemonar's place, though he looked identical to his twin, and therefore was an anathema to the First vampire.
While Kyrii had been lost in thought, her son had turned to look at her, nodding after a moment before looking down at the other female among the group- the shifter that his mother had roughed up. His grin spread across his whole face as he looked at her.
"She'll make a good student for you mother, but ...I can think of some other things I'd like to do to her."
Kyrii smiled indulgently before using the last of their teleporting spells to carry them back to the place where they were staying- ruins of a city far from the merry place where the those two bastards had ended up. Footsteps alerted her to another person, but Kyrii didn't look up, knowing that it would be Rissien's twin, the boy who had masked Rissien's presence in the womb and the evil in her beloved son's soul with the goodness in his, confusing Shadow and Arsen's spell. The vampiress finally looked up after her other child had been standing their sufficiently long enough for her tastes.
"Larial," she greeted coolly. The mirror image of Rissien smiled.

When Shadow finally got up, he found Arsen laying on the floor amoungst shattered dishes.
"Hey," the werewolf said, "Get up. We're going to find them."
"How? We can't track them. There isn't a scent. I can't... I can't feel Jaenelle," the vampire grew tense and angry, "If we had one of the twins...."
The werewolf sighed and called out, "Lucivar! Are you here? You can come out."
"Shadow, he can't..." The First faded off remembering the numerous nights the boy would sneak in the library only for his father to find him curled up with a book.

Kyrii supervised as Rissien and Larial began picking through the bodies. Rissien slung Eryn over his shoulder and Larial had Josh and Callie in his arms until only Jaenelle lay on the floor. The vampiress had Melody cradled to her chest, but there was one child missing and her eyes widened in horror and she snarled.
"Goddamn, they have that other little boy," she growled, quickly taking the little girl into the partially reconstructed house in the middle of the decimate city. Her two boys followed her, taking their very still bundles and lying them down on the different beds which had been provided for them. Kyrii's mind was racing a mile a minute as she weighed her options. "Luckily, it's not one of the twins, so they can't track us that way, but...still...can that boy?"
The vampiress wasn't sure and that made her uneasy, she dropped Melody into the crib, smiling at the little girl that would soon be hers and never remember that Jaenelle was her true mother and that she was directly descended from the First vampire. Kyrii moved into the adjoining room to the bedroom, grabbing the arm of a decrepit old man and leading him into the other room.
Rissien hissed when he saw the man, remembering the time that this particular sorcerer had cast a particularly nasty spell on him, but he back off when his mother made a cutting motion.
"We need those memory erasing spells now, Henrik," Kyrii said to the old man. "I need you to start with the vampire bitch and work from oldest to youngest."
The old man mumbled something unintelligble before wandering over to Jaenelle's bedside and beginning to chant over her, touching her temples often and making crossing sweeps over her head with his hands. Rissien grinned while Larial cringed; he hated this plan.
"Soon," Kyrii murmured, "they won't remember that idyllic little life they lived and I will have created a new reality for all of them. A reality where Jaenelle is a blood slave and we control some of the most powerful vampire fledgling this world has ever seen."

The two scouted the house and couldn't find the boy. Shadow had sat down on the couch when he and Arsen heard the yelp.
"You don't think...?" Shadow started as Arsen got down and pulled back the (thing with the name I can't remember. Duster? Dunno).
"Lucivar!" Arsen smiled, pulling the boy out from under the couch and hugging his dusty son tight.
"Y-you aren't mad, Papa?"
The First shook his head, holding the boy tight, red tears falling down his face.

(The interruption in the middle just made it so much better Is what I'm doing with the plot so far okay with you? I don't really know what to do lol) Larial watched Henrik move his hands over his father's mate, trying to understand why his mother wanted to hurt Jaenelle. She hadn't done anything wrong; in fact, she had helped to defeat Daemonar who Kyrii always said was a coward. Though he couldn't understand, he knew it wasn't beneath his mother to hurt him when he didn't move in accordance with her plans. The sorcerer finished up chanting and looked up at Kyrii, motioning the vampiress to his side. "The reality she's known since Crimson Moon has been erased from her mind, as is the fact that she was pregnant when the city fell. All she needs are new memories to fill in the time span between the fall and the present," Henrik explained succintly, moving onto his next victim- Eryn- while Kyrii began whispering things that Larial couldn't hear in the ex-human's ear. ~~ Rissien watched Henrik's motions carefully as well, but for a different reason. His mind swept over everything he'd learned about mind wiping spells and matched up the movements with Henrk's, trying to determine if the old geezer was trying to pull a fast one on them. So far, though, he seemed legit. The older twin was very excited about today. His mother had been planning this game since before they'd been born- since the fall of their biological father's empire she liked to claim. The plan was devious and well crafted. First, use magic to spirit everything Shadow and Arsen loved away from them in a way they could not track, then, wipe their memories and set in a new story that portrayed the werewolf and vampire in a bad light and make their family fight against them. It would tear them apart because they wouldn't be able to hurt the other side and, on this side, they had some of the most powerful beings roaming the Realms. ~~~ Kyrii smirked at Henrik slowly, leaning down next to Jaenelle's head and beginning the narrative that she had been thinking of for a very, very long time. She kept her voice quiet so that neither of her boys could hear, so if she laid any psychic traps in this bitch's mind, no one else would be finding out about them until they stumbled into them. "Before the fall of Crimson Moon, you were captured by Daemonar for several hours; he raped you multiple times and took your blood. Arsen threw you away in disgust and Shadow turned his back on you in the same manner when they found out that that bastard's seed was growing in you. No one would take you, so after the battle, you snuck away and found me, fleeing the city heavily pregnant. Your baby later spontaneously aborted close to the end of the pregnancy and you helped me raise Rissien and Larial as their blood whore and nanny. Your role with my other children is merely that of an addicted blood slave. Whenever, Arsen touches you, you will see the face of the man who raped you and feel him touching you. If either Shadow or Arsen gets you alone, you will try and kill yourself because you'd rather be dead then be betrayed again." Kyrii stood up, stretching after her little whispering session, looking down at Jaenelle in satisfaction. This girl was sooo going to pay for everything her mate had done to Kyrii's old family.

(lol Same here. Its fine with me. I'm thinking of my boys getting captured, or Larial going and helping them. What do you think?)
Arsen sat on the ground, holding his son. However, the vampire soon collapsed in exhaustion. Gently, the werewolf set his friend in his chair, then set his son in his father's lap.
"I'll be back. Don't go anywhere," the wolf ordered before stalking out the door and closing it.
Once he managed to find it, the werewolf followed the scent of Kyrii and the boy. When it came seemingly to am end, he followed the magic trail.

(Yeah! Sounds great! Sorry, last night I like passed out after I posted.)
Henrik had been waving his hands over Eryn and finally finished as Kyrii stood up from kneeling over Jaenelle who was now stirring uneasily in her sleep.
"Larial, watch over her," the vampiress said, motioning towards the other woman before looking at Rissien who had stood once Henrik finished with the shifter. "You want to finish her memories for her?"
Rissien smirked, nodding, as he quickly moved forward, kneeling down next to the girl's bed and beginning to whisper things into her ear that no one else could hear. This was also part of the plan, create matching realities, but controlled by different people so that killing one of them wouldn't disintegrate the whole plan. Kyrii grinned as Henrik moved on to the twins who were curled up next to each other on the same bed; everything was falling into place.
~~
Rissien began talking to Eryn quietly as his eyes watched his brother distrustfully as he hovered over Jaenelle. "At the final battle between Guardian and Crimson Moon, you saw that the people of Guardian were exactly like Daemonar and Caya were before the fall. They hurt you in the same way, not leaving any physical scars, but many emotional ones. When Crimson Moon fell, Kyrii spirited you away with her and you've been her student and companion ever since. When Larial and I grew into our majority, I began to court you and we are now lovers. Whenever you see Shadow, you will try to kill him in any way possible," here the Eryn squirmed on the bed and Rissien grabbed her hands gently. "If Shadow or Arsen ever gets you alone and you know you can't win, you will kill yourself as fast as you can."

Eryn still had his blindfold. She was still wearing it. The werewol got up with a grin. He could find his cent, he hoped, much easier than magic anyway.

Henrik soon finished up with the children and Kyrii and Rissien reasserted their memories for them, making Kyrii their mother and Eryn and Jaenelle merely acquaintances and food sources. At the end, Kyrii stood there, gloating, but she knew it wasn't over yet. Her gaze drifted to Larial and she motioned with her head slowly, "Go get the clothes that we've prepared for our new family. We can't have any trackers coming after us because of that sort of thing."
Larial nodded slowly, knowing that his mother was going to do something that she didn't want him to hear, but he left anyway. There was nothing he could do here. Kyrii turned to Henrik and then looked at the people- her family, she amended- lying on the beds.
"How long until they wake up?" her question was directed at the sorcerer who Rissien was now conveniently standing behind.
"Not much longer, mistress. The magic'll wear off soon, but you might want to move them into different rooms; the rooms they'll be using as it were because it'll help with sealing the memories off tighter. The children are easier for obvious reasons, but none of them will remember a thing. Ever. That's the way the magic works. There's no way to reverse this sort of deal and it will be nigh impossible to return to their old way of life unless I undo it," Henrik muttered, looking proudly at his handiwork.
"Thank you, Henrik," Kyrii murmured, grinning. "But your services are no longer required."
Rissien slammed his hand through the sorcerers chest and out the other side, holding the man's heart in his hand. Henrik looked down, startled for a second before his breath rattled one more time in his chest and he died.
"Now, his work can never be undone," Kyrii murmured happily as Rissien yanked his hand out of the man's chest and licked the blood of his fingers.
Larial returned and with a flick of though, Kyrii had undressed everyone and changed their clothes with the ones in her son's arms. Then a load of pajamas and other clothes dumped themselves into Larial's arms, including Shadow's blindfold.
"Go burn those while your brother and I move them to their bedrooms," Kyrii ordered and Larial went to do it, starting a fire and beginning to throw the clothes onto the flames one by one.
