~Kira and Bear curled up under a tall pine. They had been wondering for hours, but had yet to meet anybody. Kira was using Bear as a pillow, the huge Husky/Wolf sprawled out on his side. Kira sat up and looked over at the dog~
I'm hungry. What's for supper?
~the dog opened one eye and looked at her. He took in a deep breath and sighed, then slowly stood up. He slightly growled and sat down, looking directly at her~
I would like either a rabbit or a raccoon. You go find it, I'll get a fire going.
~Bear appeared to nod his head at her request, then stood and took off into the trees. They weren't far from a small town, but Kira knew that Bear would find something. As Bear hunted, Kira began pulling grass from the ground to form a bare circle for her fire. Once that was done, she set about for finding some wood.~
~Kira hummed to herself as she got the fire going, then turned to her pack which lay beside the tree and began removing a blanket, a cup, and plate. She set those on the ground on top of each other, then pulled a couple of knives out of her pack and a sharpening stone. She leaned back against the tree and started to sharpen one while she waited for Bear to get back~

A hulking purple black beast sulked in the shadows of the forest, watching a wolf hybrid hunt, her bright purple eyes shining, the only thing giving away her position.
This creature has a purpose, he's not just hunting for himself,[/i] she thought, her curiosity officially perked. Lucy remained still as she watched as the creature hunted, soon she decided that she would follow this creature to it's master, the one that could tame this one must be very interesting to talk to.

Toru had decided to get out of the city. He was tired of the bustle and the noise pollution. The vampire wandered slowly down the road. After a few hours he had made it to a small town not too far away. On the outskirts of this town he noticed a fire start in the sparse forest.
This interested him. Silently he moved closer, using the trees and shadows of the night to get close to the source of the light. His purple hair shimmered in the red-orange glow. A girl sat against a tree on the other side of the flames.
Toru watched her, curious to see what she was doing out here all alone.

~Bear raced after a large cottontail, barely catching it before it darted into its hole. He bit hard enough to break bones and kill it, but left it intact enough for Kira to eat. He knew that he would get his share of it. He turns and begins to head back to where Kira is waiting. He travels for about a quarter of an hour, feeling eyes on him. He looks around, seeing the spark of purple. He drops the rabbit and howls, never taking his eyes off the creature~
I have found someone!
~Kira, having finished sharpening her knives, looks up toward the howling. She stands up from her crouching position by the fire and howls herself, sounding eerily like a wolf~
Get back here now!
~She begins to go through her pack quickly, setting aside different types of firearms and blades. She finds what she is looking for an turns back to wait for Bear~
~Bear hears Kira's howl, but stays where he is at. He would not head back until he knew what was in the shadows. He lowers his head and slowly moves toward the creature~
~Kira waits for several minutes, then sighs and runs her hand through her hair~
Crap......
~She straps her handgun to a holster on her leg, then takes off in the direction she last heard Bear~

Lucy lowered her head and began to growl, she was about double this creature's size. She bared her teeth. She wouldn't attack yet, this was just display right now. Her ears were back her tail low, not trying to be territorial just letting him know that he was invading her personal space.

~Kira stops running, catches her breath real quick, and howls again. Bear howls back from left, and she takes off in that direction, coming up beside him a few minutes later. She grabs his ear and pinches it hard~
I told you to come back to the camp.
~Bear shakes her off and looks back at the creature, than up at Kira. She looks in the creatures direction~
If you wish to come to our fire, you may do so. We wish you no harm.
~She looks back at Bear~
I'm thinking that we may need a bigger meal. Do you want some help?
~The half-breed sighs and turns without looking at her, giving one last look at the creature. He growls slightly, then trots off into the woods. Kira stays for a minute, watching the creature~
Sorry about that. He is a little grumpy.
~She takes off after Bear, now hoping to find bigger game to fill anybody who comes along. She catches up to the hybrid quickly, allowing him to lead the path. They come up to a small clearing where a herd of deer are grazing. Kira touches Bear on the shoulder and motions for him to circle around to the other side. The dog slips off into the trees, his clear-blue eyes shining a little later on the other side. Kira silently slips a knife out from its sheath, preparing herself for a fun and interesting dinner~

Lucy inclined her head and followed the two, taking a position in the brush on the edge of the clearing where the deer were. She crouched low, examining each animal as it moved around. She picked a medium sized doe, preferring to not be impaled on a pair of antlers today. She moved forward slowly, keeping her belly on the ground until she could have a clear run at the animal.

~Bear and Kira both dart out of the trees at the same time, both going for a young buck in the center of the herd to split them up. Bear lounges for the neck while Kira jumps on to the buck's back. Bear jerks downward and the deer is thrown to the ground, Kira using the advantage to use the blade to pierce its heart. Once the animal is dead, Bear and Kira both move back from it and look up to the sky~
Bless us, Mother, for having taken your child. He has not died in vain. He will clothe us and feed us, and we shall Sing his soul to the Land of the Dead.
~after Kira finishes her 'prayer', she begins to cut the hide away from young meat underneath. She pays no attention to what Bear or the other creature are doing, so intent on her own work. She quickly disposes of the hide, and begins to slice the meat, pausing to look for somewhere to hang the strips. She finds a likely place and continues to strip the meat, tossing a few to Bear. Only after she is finished with the meat and has it hanging does she begin to wonder what kind of meal the creature has gotten~

Lucy took the opportunity of the herd's panic when the girl made her move easily catching and killing the doe. Eagerly tearing into the animal and eating quickly, even a werewolf knows to scarf their food before a scavanger comes to steal it.
After she finished her meal, Lucy took her human form, catiously approaching the girl and her pet. "I was watching your animal hunt. He is a beautiful hybrid," she said crouching low, keeping her purple eyes averted to show the animal that she meant him no harm. "May I ask what your name is?" Her voice was calm, hoping for a casual conversation instead of this girl completely freaking out on her because she just changed from a hulking blackish purple wolf into a 16 year old girl.

~Kira barely looks up from her work, working on building a fire now~
My name is Kira. Mutt boy there is Bear. Mind if I ask your name?
~having gotten the fire going, Kira looks over at Bear, laying under the tree the meat is in, and gives a low growl. The hybrid gets up and takes off. Kira then sits cross-legged by the fire and turns to the girl~
Go ahead and sit down. We won't bite.

Lucy sat down. "My name is Lucy. Are you human?" she asked, unable to keep her curiosity in check. "I don't mean to be rude but you seem so calm about my changing from a wolf to a human right in front of you."

~Kira laughs lightly~
I have seen so many weird things that nothing really bothers me anymore.
~Bear returns with Kira's pack and lays it down beside her before going to curl up under a tree. Kira quickly sets up a rotisserie over the fire and begins to thread strips of meat onto it. She glances over at Lucy as she works~
So what exactly are you? I've can honestly say that I have never seen a purple wolf before.

"I'm a werewolf. I'm assuming the purple runs in my family but I can't be sure because I never knew my father, he was the werewolf, my mom was human....all too human," Lucy said, shivering at the thought of her mother.

~Kira raises her brow at Lucy's response, but decides not to push~
My mother never understood me. She said that only crazy people can talk to animals. She said that I wasn't normal, and that I would never be friends with anyone if I kept running around like a dog. I left home when I was 14, and shortly after that I met Bear.
~the hybrid raises his head at the mention of his name, but doesn't budge~
That crazy dog has gotten me out of more fights that I can think of. I probably wouldn't be here if I hadn't met him.

Lucy nodded listening to the girl. "I left when I was ten. I've been roaming for years. Italy doesn't exactly like me....I lost my temper in the capitol was not pretty," she said running a hand through her short hair. "My mother tried to understand but couldn't. I never really found a companion, any animal I come into contact with is looked at as a potential meal....until now." She smiled and bear, though she was starting to try to dominate the animal.
