Last month was my older sister's Buck and Doe. Part of the festivities was goldfish insurance (to collect your prize from a game you had to either have goldfish insurance or EAT a goldfish). Only 3 goldfish out of twelve got eaten. The question at the end of the night--what to do with all the other goldfish. Luckily my friends are pretty generous and we found them all good homes. I took 4 for myself. A week later I had only 2 fish left. This is WAY more than I thought I would have. I've never been able to keep a fish alive for more than 2 weeks. But I wanted a pet in my new apartment, something to make it more welcoming to me. And I wanted to see if I was responsible enough now to take care of something living all by myself. My family has always had a dog, but there were always 2 other people to look after the dog as well.
But its been over a month and I've managed to keep my unnamed fish alive. And they are so cute when we "glup" at each other. Although sometimes in the mornings they keep me awake with their silly sounds.
So that's my little story about my fish. Anyone else wanna tell a little story about their nonhuman friends?

I'm happy for you! Though eating goldfish does sound a bit...um...sad. XP
I've found out that our kitten Harry (who we've had for a year and 2 months now) knows how to wipe the windows. When we open the door (because it's so cold) the glass fogs up, but she uses her little front paws to wipe the window clean so she can see out. I thought it was the sweetest thing!
