This is a formula writer; and her books easily fall into the romance category.
Her stories are always the same, only with different characters, and sometimes settings. As a softie at heart, I have to admit I do savour a few, but on the whole they aren't worth buying. To me they're an afternoon read, or a sickday read, when your brain isn't thinking clearly anyway, and you don't mind if you fall asleep in the middle.
They're also a "skip ten pages" book. Those who read these types of books know what I mean.
Anyway, main idea behind them is vampire guy/girl must find soulmate -- she/he allows them to have feelings and see in colour. Species is dying out so they all have babies in the end, mostly anyway.
Long series, and only a few are worth even bothering for -- none worth buying.

lol Which one did you get? I should really amend the "not worth buying" bit, since I admit to owning a couple; there are certain characters you fall in love with yourself -- course then you hate the opposite sex counterpart. lol

I have Dark Celebration, have you read it by chance? It was the only one I bought of hers so far, not to far into I switched to Dean Koontz at the moment. =P

I haven't read it actually; haven't looked at any of her newer ones. The ones I've read are Dark Melody.. Dark something.. Destiny? lol I have them they're just upstairs... too far.
I find her books get too dry for me to read every single page -- I usually skip through here and there.
Dean Koontz is more interesting.

Yea, Dean Koontz is one of my favorites; he has such an interesting way of capturing the reader and pulling them in from the start. One of my favorites of his is The Taking, its pretty amazing.
