Over Christmas 2014 I purchased this book trilogy with Christmas money and I have regretted it.
It is a series steeped in magic and forces of good and evil. It is set in Ireland and it is a family blood fued with a dark warlock that has spanned several generations. The type of magic they use is very old school magic, very Wicca religion based magic, the old pagan religion from Ireland. The book is set in Ireland as well. Each book focuses on a different cousin. I fell in love with the series and really enjoyed the books.
The first book, Dark Witch, focuses on Iona who is the cousin from America who never knew about her history and goes to Ireland as a vacation and with plans to live there and meet her family. She discovers her powers and her family history from her cousins Conner and Branna. Conner and Branna are brother and sister. The three of them make up the descendants of their ancestor Sorcha, the Dark Witch, who started their destiny centuries before. Conner and Branna have been practicing their magic for years by this point, and Iona hasn't. It is a story about Iona coming into her powers and even finding love. They cousins find each other and they realize they are the three that will put and end to their families curse.
The second book, Shadow Spell, focuses more on Conner O'Dwyer. By this point they;re getting stronger, and Conner is coming to realizes his misses something and ends up finding love. Basically call the books involve them finding love, and the love binds their circle together.
The third book, Blood Magick, I am still finishing actually because school and other things got in the way, but it focuses more on Branna than the other two. It will be the climax of the story, and a definite end to what they're fighting. Branna to is trying to find love, and a previous character we meet may be it, but there are reasons as to why they are not together and I myself am not sure if they do end up together. That is a mystery to me too.
I recommend this series to anyone to read. I am enjoying it, and am enthralled and I wonder if anyone else had read them, if not read them and get back to me!
