"Welcome," Kaito said, eyes closed as one of his hands reached up to massage his temples before his eyes slid open. "We should go to my house. You should come to my house. Especially if Eschaton's after you."

"Nah," the vampire murmured, standing up and dusting off his jeans before offering his tattooed hand to Aliya. "I promised your bro I'd take care of you and....hell, I'm glad you weren't alone when Eschaton found you. C'mon!"

Kaito pulled Aliya up so that she was standing next to him before looking back down at the small boy and girl sitting on the couch watching him with identical stares.
"Well, they're coming with us. I don't know how they'll get along with the dogs though," he said as an afterthought leaning down to pick up Di.

"They will," Kaito said as he bounced Di up and down on his hip and made the little boy laugh. The vampire turned around and walked towards the door. To himself he quietly muttered, "No worries."

Kaito walked out of Aliya's apartment, glancing over his shoulder to make sure that the girl was following him before starting down the stairs. When he got to the bottom, he walked out into the cool night air, judging how late it was from the position of the faintly glowing moon overhead. The vampire walked over to the car, unlocking it as he did before looking down at the little boy in his arms.
"Now, you're gonna have to get along with the dogs, alright?"

Aliya quietly followed along after kaito. Ana, confused by Aliya's mood scurried from her arms and ran after theman holding her brother, leaving the succubus alone.
She emered from the building, her head bowed, her arms rapped around herself tightly. She could feel a strong sense of danger and eyes watching her again.
This time, she didn't stop to look.

Kaito glanced over his shoulder at Aliya as he settled Di into the car. Ana scrambled up to him, climbing up his leg and hanging onto his shoulder before he swung her into his arms and then into the car. Slowly closing the door to contain the boisterous duo, he walked over to Ali, placing a hand on her arm.
"C'mon," he murmured softly. "It'll be alright."

Aliya gave a slow nod, looking up to Kaito. A small smile took her face that didn't quite touch her eyes.
She reached up to rub her eyes, wondering when she'd started crying, "... Yeah..."

Kaito wrapped his arms around the smaller girl, resting his head on top of hers as he made soothing noises and rubbed her back with his hands.
"I'll take care of you for as long as you need, darling. Don't cry," he murmured, gently drawing Ali towards the car sinc ehe too could feel the eyes watchign them.

Kaito turned around and gathered the girl into his arms, brushing the tears out of her eyes and kissing her forehead.
"Never apologize to me. It's perfectly all right," he murmured softly, turning to open the door for her and motioning to the twins to climb into the back seat.

Aliya slid into the car, running her hands over her face again, patting Di's head as he leaned forward and nuzzled her neck.

Kaito closed the door and walked to the other side of the car, peering around to make sure that they weren't being watched. He could hear the eerie laughter floating down to him and was wary because of it.
"Damn it all, Eschaton," he snarled before opening his door and sliding into the car. He threw the keys into the ignition and started up the car, peeling out of the parking spot and racing towards his house.

Aliya remained quiet in her seat, staring out the window for a good duration of the drive.
She didn't seem to be paying attention, zoning out while on hand absently reached and grabbed the cross around her neck.

Kaito pulled up in front of the grand house where he made his home, pushing the button to make the gates slide open before whipping the car down the driveway as the gates closed behind the little car. The car slid into the garage and almost before it was off, the vampire was out, stalking over to Aliya's side to pull open her door and collect the twins. His behavior was nervous, antsy as he glanced around, sensing Eschaton nearby and knowing that he needed the safety of his own home.
"C'mon, we need to get inside quickly," Kaito murmured, touching Aliya's shoulder softly to stir her out of her reverie.

Aliya nodded, startled when she finally noticed Kaito's actions. She crawled out of the car and followed him quickly. Di scarmbled into her arms this time, nuzzling at her neck. He was whining softly and kept nuzzling into her as if to hide.
"... H-he's here, isn't he?"

Ana climbed into Kaito's arms as he closed the door behind Aliya. The vampire nodded tersely, looking around his property before sending up an earsplitting whistle. Suddenly the hounds raced out the back door and across the lawn, towards them. The Great Dane trotted out to stand on the back porch and picked the puppy up as she tried to race towards them in excitement.
Kaito felt slightly safer as the hounds came to stand next to them, offering reassurance in their own way as he felt Eschaton draw back a bit. He knew that his brother had never liked the shifters.
"Come on, the dogs will protect us. Hurry."

Aliya nodded, holding Di tight.
"Let's go," she said, feeling the eyes on her agian. It caused unrest to go through her and Di whined in the back of his throat, holding onto her tighter.

One of the hounds took up a position by Aliya's side and the other at Kaito's as he ran across the yard. The vampire relaxed slightly as he set Ana down on the back step next to the Great Dane and looked back to make sure that Ali got to the door okay.

Eschaton's eyes watched greedily as the succubus crossed his brother's lawn.
"Now," he told Bastet and the illusionist's eyes swirled to different colors as she raised illusions of their worst nightmares around the girl and the hound.

Aliya followed after Kaito quickly, holding Di tight. The boy nuzzled closer, whimpering.
Suddenly, the illusions sprung up and she recoiled, holding the shifter tight.
"N-no," she whined, taking a step back, "K-Kaito!"

The hound snarled at her side, lunging at the illusions, but they backed away from him and then lurched forward sickeningly. The Pharaoh hound retreated to Aliya's side, snarling at the illusions as they came forwards.

Kaito growled, glancing down at the Great Dane before he and the other hound raced into the yard towards where Aliya was. The vampire summoned up his power, trying to find where the illusions were stemming from and counteract them.
"ALIYA!"

The girl slowly sank to her knees, Di retreting from her arms to hold the other shifter tight around the neck.
This time, she was aware ofthe power building inside her and clutched her head tight. Horns curled up from under her hair, longer than her first transfortmation. Wings pulled from her back and a tail reached out from the base of her spine.
She began shaking, feeling herself begin to cry as her powers as a succubus crushed out the powers of the illusionist and left her shaking in the lawn.
The girl wasn't sure what was going on and didn't look up as her defense mechanism released and her human form slowly returned.

Kaito dropped to his knees beside the girl, gathering her into his arms again. He picked her up, cradling her to his chest as he glanced around the yard, searching for Eschaton. The vampire didn't see him, but he snarled anyways, carrying Aliya to the back porch and then inside to the couch where he sat down with her in his lap.

The pharaoh hounds licked each other's muzzles before trotting after Kaito. As they walked through the back door followed by Di, Ana, and the puppy. The Great Dane shifted until he was a man, about twenty five to close the back door. Then he turned to the stove to get tea started. The hounds shifted into two men, one of who was fussing over the other one, as the puppy changed into a young girl.

ALiya was shaking in his arms, tears dripping down her face. This time, she was fully aware of waht happened.
"K-Kaito..." she said softly, "W-what am I....? I-I'm not...."
She shook her head,hiding her face against his chest.

Kaito sighed, shushing the hysterical girl as he stroked her hair a little. His glanced drifted to the kitchen when he smelled the peppermint tea that was brewing. He glimpsed the shifters moving about in the kitchen and nodded absentmindedly to the Great Dane as he passed the door. The other male looked at him sympathetically before closing the kitchen door to give them a bit of privacy.
"You're right...You're not exactly human, but no one in this house is.... Do you really want to know though? Once you know, you can't...well, you can't go back."

Aliya gave a small laugh, "I-I don't think I can go back anyway, Kaito."
She grabbed the cross around her neck and pulled it off, running her fingers over a carving in the back. She exhaled softly, kissing his cheek.
"... Thank you."

The twins sat on the kitchen floor watching the other shifters with intrest. They hadn't seen others like themselves before and were curious.
